Name: Michelle Garabetian
Committee: Community Service
Major: Political Science

Dream School: UC Berkeley/ UCLA
Dream Job: U.S. Senator
Fun Fact: I have traveled to 25 countries

Best part of the Scholars Program: My favorite part of the Scholars Program is the fact that I’m surrounded by so many awesome and ambitious individuals. It’s a great feeling knowing that the people around you are always there to help. Also, I love how the Scholars Program has broadened my horizons and has opened so many new doors for me.

How have you changed since joining: What have you been able to do since joining Scholars: Since joining, I have been able to venture out to new environments with a sense of confidence. The Scholars program has allowed me to challenge myself in nearly all aspects of my life. I’m looking forward to the future and I know that the education and experiences I will gain in the Scholars Program will help me in achieving my goals.

Advice to future Scholars: As cliché as it sounds… remember that the only disability in life is a bad attitude. My advice to future Scholars would be to take chances, try new things, make mistakes and most importantly, learn from them! Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone and always remember… don’t be afraid to speak up and share your thoughts because your voice matters!
